Cleaning in compliance with the strengthened regulations for specified chemical substances

One of the specified chemical substances is indium. This substance is sometimes used in FPD and semiconductor manufacturing processes. However, after it was designated as a specified chemical substance in 2014, cleaning it with regular system component parts was no longer allowed.
A customer of ours was thus at a loss about how to clean parts contaminated with adhering indium in his semiconductor manufacturing process. Our company promptly arranged a dedicated facilities line and, after giving full consideration to the safety of employees, dealt with cleaning the indium adhesions and was able to satisfy the customer’s wishes.
